This website, livhome.ae ("Liv Home", "we", "us", "our"), is operated by Liv Home General Trading LLC-SPC, a company licensed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (licence CN-5493332). We are the controller responsible for the personal data described in this Policy.

2. ABOUT THIS POLICY

This Policy explains what personal data we collect through livhome.ae, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and your rights. We handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, the "PDPL").

3. THE PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

(a) Device & usage information — collected automatically when you browse the site, using cookies and similar technologies: your IP address, device and browser type, time zone, the pages and products you view, referring site, and how you interact with the site (see section 6).

(b) Order & enquiry information — when you place or enquire about an order: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number, and order or enquiry details. Card and payment details entered at checkout are collected and processed by our payment provider, Tap Payments, through Shopify's secure checkout — we do not store them ourselves (see section 7).

(c) Customer-support information — the content of your messages to us by email, WhatsApp, or our forms, and any information you choose to give us so we can help.

4. HOW AND WHY WE USE YOUR DATA (AND OUR LAWFUL BASIS)

To take, fulfil and deliver your order, arrange delivery, and provide support — to perform our contract with you or take steps at your request.
To communicate with you about your order, enquiry, or account — to perform our contract / our legitimate interest in serving you.
To operate, secure and improve the site, including analytics — with your consent where required, and/or our legitimate interest in a working, secure site.
To send you marketing about Liv Home, where you have asked to receive it — with your consent (you can withdraw at any time).
To comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We rely on the lawful bases set out in the PDPL (including your consent, the performance of a contract, and compliance with a legal obligation). We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal effects on you.

5. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only as needed to run the store, with providers acting on our instructions:

our e-commerce platform / website host, Shopify, which powers this store;
our delivery / courier partners, to deliver your order;
professional advisers, and authorities or regulators, where we are required by law to disclose.

Payments: payments made through this website are processed by our payment provider, Tap Payments, via Shopify's secure checkout; Liv Home does not receive or store your card details.

Analytics: we use only our platform (Shopify) analytics; we do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

6. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We do not set third-party advertising or analytics cookies beyond the Shopify cookies listed above. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site working. Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

7. PAYMENTS

Payments made through this website are processed by our payment provider, Tap Payments, via Shopify's secure checkout. Your card or payment-instrument details are handled by Tap Payments and Shopify and are not stored by Liv Home. Orders can also be arranged by consultation, with payment agreed directly.

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some of our providers (for example our platform, Shopify) may process personal data on servers outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, we do so in line with the PDPL, and only where an adequate level of protection or an appropriate safeguard is in place.

9. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep order information for as long as needed to provide the goods and support, and thereafter for as long as we must to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We keep enquiry and customer-support information for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law or an ongoing relationship. Cookies last for the periods shown in section 6.

10. CHILDREN

livhome.ae is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact us at hello@livhome.ae and we will delete it.

11. YOUR RIGHTS

Under the PDPL you have the right to: be informed about how we use your data; access the data we hold and obtain a copy; have inaccurate or outdated data corrected; have your data deleted; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent (where we rely on it); and request portability of data you provided.

To exercise any of these, email hello@livhome.ae or message WhatsApp +971 52 813 5848. We will respond within the period required by law (and aim to do so within 30 days). Exercising your rights is free, and we may ask you to verify your identity first.

12. SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the authorities of a personal-data breach where the law requires.

13. COMPLAINTS

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at hello@livhome.ae so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office (the national data protection regulator).

14. CHANGES

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed; material changes will be notified on this page.
